DELIVERY

All our bags are lovingly handmade in our workshop near Leicester in the UK. 

All orders will be despatched within 3 working days during the peak season. Please also allow an extra 3 working days for all items that have been embossed or personalised. 

We work our hardest to ensure your Cambridge Satchel is in your hands as soon as possible. This does mean that we are unable to make order amendments and address amendments. We are also unable to cancel your order once it has been placed, however you can return your parcel if it is unwanted. To find out how, please see below.

Products ordered as pre-order will be delivered when the product becomes available, see terms and conditions for full list of products and their availability. Standard despatch times apply.

Please note, we are unable to deliver to PO, MAIL, BFPO and APO Boxes. All orders must be signed for by the recipient.

Please be aware that we are unable to ship items in The Cambridge Satchel Company x Vivienne Westwood Collection to Japan.

Our extended Christmas returns policy is valid from 1st November 2016. This means that you can now return online purchases up until 31st January 2017. Normal exclusions apply.

TRUNKS

All our trunks are made to order and will take 14 working days to despatch. Please take this in to account when placing your order. 

UK delivery of trunks to any destination within the United Kingdom will incur a delivery cost of £10. For trunk shipments outside the UK please contact us so that we can advise you about exact shipping charges, as the price of shipment is subject to change.

RETURNS  & EXCHANGES

RETURNING SALE ITEMS

Any sale items bought online can be returned if they have not been personalised and are unused. For Sale items bought in our retails stores please see below.

 

WEBSITE RETURNS

If for any reason the item you have ordered is not right for you, please return it, unused, within 14 days of receipt for a refund; or within 28 days of receipt for an exchange only. You will also be responsible for any return postage costs involved to return the order, unless otherwise advised. Please note that items that have been embossed cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Should you change your mind and wish to make an exchange there will be a re-shipping cost as below:

GIFT PURCHASES

Refunds for gift purchases will be made to the buyer. Otherwise the same rules apply as above. 

 

STEP-BY-STEP RETURNS GUIDE

Please follow the following steps for returning or exchanging items bought online:

1.      Please contact us with your order number and request a Returns Form. Fill in the form carefully. If the return is due to a fault with the satchel you may be required to provide photographic evidence before a return will be authorised.

2.     Package up the unwanted item and returns form together. Please ensure that shoulder straps/backpack straps are inside the bag. Please use recorded delivery to send the package to:

3. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days via the original method of payment. We are unable to guarantee the date the refund will credit your bank account as it will depend on your bank or credit card issuer.

Please be advised that you will be charged for the cost of return postage and any re-delivery charges for exchanges if the item isn’t faulty.

Please be aware that an orders despatched to China will be subject to DDP charges and that the refund of these charges are subject to terms and conditions.

 

STORE RETURNS 

Please return any unwanted items that were bought in one of our stores, back to the Cambridge Satchel Company shop or concession where the purchase was originally made in. 

Items bought in the Sale in one of our retail stores can be returned, but will only qualify for an exchange. Items must be exchanged in an unused and sellable condition.

We will happily issue a full refund within 14 days of purchase or an exchange within 28 days of purchase provided the item/s is/are returned in saleable condition. Refunds will be credited via your original method of payment and proof of purchase must be supplied.

 

PRODUCT GUARANTEE

The Cambridge Satchel takes great pride in the design and craftsmanship of all its products, and we aim to apply the highest manufacturing standards throughout our products.

We strive to make sure every item we sell is perfect, and in the unlikely event that a Cambridge satchel product does not match up to our high standards we will try our hardest to address the problem.

Our leather bags and accessories all carry a 12-month guarantee. If within this period you find fault with your product, we offer a repair or replacement service at no extra cost to you.

Should you have any concerns with your purchase outside of this period then please do let us know, as we will endeavour to assist you and offer a repair where possible however there may be a small charge for any repairs outside of the guarantee but we will always advice of any cost’s before we proceed.

Please note an original proof of purchase will be required.

 

TAXES & DUTIES

United States of America

All shipments to the United States of America from The Cambridge Satchel Company placed after 30th March 2016 and under the value of $800 will be subject to free duties and taxes. Promotion applies to deliveries to the United States of America only! All deliveries to Canada may be subject to duties, taxes and admin fees, we recommend that you contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

China

All shipments to China from The Cambridge Satchel Company placed from Friday 2nd October 2015 have duties and taxes applied at checkout to ensure a speedy delivery. This means if you order from our site for delivery to China, all relevant import taxes and duties will be included in the final purchase price.

Rest Of World

All shipments from The Cambridge Satchel Company to countries outside the EU or China are shipped DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid). This means if you order from our site for delivery outside the EU including Switzerland or Norway, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes that are applied when your delivery reaches the destination.

Please note that we have no control over these charges and we cannot predict their amount. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties, taxes and admin fees incurred, therefore we recommend that you contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

 

DELIVERY TO RUSSIA

All shipments to Russia will now be delivered by SPSR the local carrier.

You will receive an e-mail requesting your Russian Passport details directly from the carrier and once the information is received and processed then the despatch process will begin – Delivery will be approximately eight to ten working days from that date.

Kindly note the shipments are subject to possible delays and will not always be despatched within our normal seven working days criteria.

As of the 31st March, Russian customs have been able to track a consumer's eCommerce purchases more closely. 

Under the new customs clearance procedures, any customer who makes purchases over €1000 or weighing over 31Kgs per month, will have to pay duty on their items in order for them to clear customs. Details of the changes are;

 

- Calendar month is used to calculate the customer’s allowable limit.

- The duty and tax will be calculated at 30% of the amount exceeding €1000, based on the value of the goods, not CIF.

- For a customer who has not exceeded the €1000 threshold, but has exceeded the weight threshold of 31kg, the charge for is €4 per kilo for the exceeded kilos.

 

If the customer goes over the allowable weight and value, the charge applied will be whichever is greater.

If FedEx are unable to deliver to your location, we will endeavour to use a different courier. Please note this may affect delivery times and tracking. Unless otherwise arranged with us all deliveries will take place between 9am and 5pm, Monday - Friday.

All our orders are sent in a branded Cambridge Satchel box where possible. If you prefer discreet packaging please request this in the delivery instruction field at the checkout.

If you are looking to buy more than two satchels outside of the UK, please note this may incur additional charges.

 

It can take up to 7 working days for your genuine Cambridge Satchel to be handmade and dispatched.
