Job Specification: Social Media & Marketing Executive
Hours: Full Time
As we head in to our 10th anniversary year we are seeking a passionate and creative Social & Marketing Executive to join our marketing team. In this varied role you will be a central figure in our marketing team; working across all our departments and channels.
Reporting into the Global Head of Brand Communications and working closely with our ‘Blogger in Residence’ you will gain unparalleled access to the way marketing is managed in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced retail environment.
The role is full time to start as soon as possible. You will be based in our London office, with some travel to Cambridge and our other sites (factory and stores).

Main duties

  • Social Media
  • Community management and monitoring of our social channels with particular focus on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter
  • Planning and maintaining the social media content calendar – copywriting, proofing, scheduling and publishing all social media posts to align with marketing activities and topical events
  • Assisting our Blogger in Residence and Creative team in planning and conducting photography sessions to create relevant assets for social media
  • Working with the Press Office and Blogger in Residence on the influencer outreach programme; identifying suitable influencers, building relationships and working on campaigns
  • Working with the Blogger in Residence on the content for our Journal; planning and uploading regular blog posts

  • Marketing
  • Liaising with customer care and updating wider teams on marketing initiatives and communications activity
  • Implementing and overseeing competitions across all marketing channels – sourcing prizes, monitoring content, liaising with winners
  • Sourcing and managing partnerships with likeminded brands
  • Wholesale marketing - working with the Head of Brand Communications and wholesale teams to support our wholesale partners accordingly – planning events, supplying assets, proactively looking for opportunities to promote CSC on wholesale channels. Attending relevant meetings and calls to understand wholesale partner needs and opportunities for the brand
  • Retail marketing - under guidance from the Retail team, work with our store managers on store events and initiatives to drive footfall. Manage creative and marketing briefs with the store managers to ensure they have the full marketing support required

Key experience and skills required:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Digitally savvy social media native
  • Creative thinker
  • Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills
  • Well-organised, methodical and efficient
  • Hands-on and a self starter
  • Interest in fashion and retail

Job Specification: Sales assistant
Hours: Flexible: part time & full time
As sales assistant you will be the face of the brand, displaying excellent customer service and providing our broad clientele with the perfect customer experience. As well supporting the London market management team in the smooth day to day running of the store, including working together to meet targets.

Main duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service as standard across all areas of the business
  • Ensure high levels of security are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and visual standards in store.
  • Identify current and future customer requirements.
  • Support the Managers in the day to day running of the store.
  • Maintain the reputation of the Cambridge Satchel Brand.
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and confident at all times.
  • Maximise sales, achieve sales targets and increase profit.
  • Constantly develop knowledge of product, new lines, promotions etc to assist customers to the best of your ability.
  • Carry out repairs, embossing and care of leather goods on a daily basis.
  • Support the London Management team, where required by supporting stores at multi sites.

Job Specification: Senior sales assistant
Salary: Competitive plus sales based bonus commission scheme
As senior sales-assistant you will be the face of the brand, displaying excellent customer service and providing our broad clientele with the perfect customer experience. While supporting the management team in the smooth day-to-day running of the store whilst working together to meet targets.
You will be able to inspire the team to deliver a high standard of customer service, leading by example and ensuring that every customer receives the best possible experience during his or her visit. Reporting to the London management team, you will be responsible for influencing the trading of the store and performance of the team.

Main duties

  • Maintain the reputation of the Cambridge Satchel Brand and provide exceptional customer service as standard.
  • Ensure high levels of security are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and visual standards in store.
  • Identify current and future customer requirements.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the store
  • Cashing up and banking
  • Support the Managers in the day-to-day running of the store.
