Introducing The Cambridge Satchel Co. x Vintage - Cambridge Satchel

The Satchel - it’s The Ultimate Book Bag. So when we had the opportunity to partner up with the fantastic publisher Vintage, we just knew that we had to restore the Satchel’s traditional purpose. This collaboration launched in November and it is for everyone - the die-hard bookworms, the occasional literary dabblers, and of course the Vintage lovers!

This beautiful collection of 16 Vintage books topped with our 13 Inch Batchel in Vermilion, embossed with both The Cambridge Satchel Co. and Vintage logos, is the star of this collaboration. The first 50 of these Batchels purchased will come with one of these books, carefully selected by our founder Julie Deane CBE, as well as a free Cambridge Satchel bookmark. It’s the stylish book lover’s dream!

And it doesn’t end there - why stop at The Ultimate Book Bag when you can win The Ultimate Library?

Introducing our exciting The Cambridge Satchel Co. x Vintage competition! Win 26 books from the Vintage Minis Collection, colourfully arranged in one of our popular portable Mini Trunks. From Virginia Woolf to Nigella Lawson, from Haruki Murakami to Toni Morrisson, that’s your Christmas reading sorted! Enter here

We have held one of our three free ticketed events in our shops with the brilliant Vintage author, Charlotte Higgins (author of Greek Myths). Customers, partners and bookstagrammers were all treated to interviews, readings and book signings, as well as refreshments from our friends at Cambridge Gin and exclusive discounts on Cambridge Satchel products.

Our final Vintage event this year will be held on 16 December in our Edinburgh shop with the lovely Denise Mina (author of The Less Dead), and next year we will be holding a third with Juliet Nicolson (author of Frostquake). Tickets are very limited, so please contact us if you would like to attend!

Can’t get enough of books? Our first Vintage book review of A House Full of Daughters by Juliet Nicolson is now live in our Journal. Get involved in our online book club by tagging #CSCVintage - tell us what you thought, recommend some Vintage books for us to review, and enjoy the read!

We are so excited to see where this ongoing partnership will take us. If you’re a bookstagrammer, booktokker or book lover who would like to get involved, please get in touch via our Instagram or Facebook!
