Just in time for London Fashion Week, today we launched our exclusive collaboration with Brazilian footwear brand Melissa.
To celebrate our exciting new partnership, we headed to Soho with a 90s inspired girl gang to take over the first day of LFW. The ‘model invasion’ – a gang of eight girls – caused quite the stir outside Brewer Street Car Park before the Eudon Choi and Ashley Williams shows. Bloggers, photographers and press were spotted frantically trying to capture the ‘Fashion mob’ before they disappeared.
To stand out in the LFW crowd, the girls were styled with a nod to the rebellious 90s. Each wore the holographic satchel from the collaborative collection – styled identically – to officially introduce this iconic accessory to the fashionable attendees at LFW. With bleach blond hair and an androgynous look, the models donned raincoats and patent skirts to reflect the waterproof nature of the Melissa & CSC Melflex satchels.
The creative duo behind the #MelissaCSC ‘model invasion’ are Robinson Barbosa a photographer and filmmaker, and Brazilian stylist, producer and image-maker Thais Mendes. They operate under the moniker Two of Swords as a pair who make fashion films, brand campaigns and editorials.
You can shop this exciting new design collaboration in any of our five stores as well as online. The collection of classic 11 inch satchels is available in three colourways including Limited Edition Holographic, Black and our worldwide exclusive, Red.
