AW26 Drop 2 risky business
Loved the first drop of our Risky Business Autumn Winter collection? Good, because we were not quite finished.
Continuing our love affair with the 1980s, Drop Two turns things up another notch. Think bold colour, brilliant texture and familiar Cambridge Satchel shapes given something new to play with. There is houndstooth, a rather electric shade of green and a new addition to our East West family.
Think Princess Diana...
There are certain patterns that know how to make an entrance, and houndstooth is certainly one of them.
Our houndstooth cloth comes from Abraham Moon, the historic Yorkshire mill that has been weaving fine fabrics since 1837. It is a pattern with plenty of fashion history too, favoured by Princess Diana, whose stylish approach to 1980s dressing continues to inspire wardrobes today.
For Drop Two, we have brought the pattern to a selection of our favourite silhouettes, including the Traveller. You could say it has a little bite.
Electric Club
Nothing says the 1980s quite like a fearless flash of colour....enter Electric Green.
Bright, bold and very difficult to overlook, the new shade brings a jolt of colour to Drop Two. And, as autumn wardrobes inevitably begin their annual migration towards black, navy, grey and brown, a little electric green can pull together an outfit with some pop.
East West
Our new East West silhouette made its debut in Drop One and has already become a fast favourite. For Drop Two, both the East West Tote and East West Shoulder Bag arrive in Taupe. The understated colour provides a counterpoint to the more unusual proportions of the design, allowing the shape to do the talking.
The smaller Shoulder Bag works nicely from day into evening, while the Tote has room for the business of everyday life. September means back to work, school and university, and suddenly having a bag that fits everything is important.
